Title: GMFA's Guide To Gay Sports Clubs And Social Groups

Gay West

They are the longest running Gay group in the South West of England, primarily based in Bath, Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare and totally run by volunteers. They provide a social network for Gay men, Lesbians, Bi-sexuals and the Transgendered. And aimed particularly at those who are not scene orientated. They do this by organising social events (our Saturday morning coffee shops are a ritual for most) and links with other groups in the community. Their Aims: To provide social activities, information and support services To work with other groups and organisations towards an integrated gay community To promote the principle of absolute equality before the law for homosexuals and heterosexuals To take up local issues which affect gay people. See the separate entry for the Rainblow Cafe meetings.
